I think Wayne Dyer coined the phrase In-Spirit from Inspired. Not sure but this is what I am thinking right now.
I just started reading M-Joy Practically Speaking:Matrix Energetics and Living Your Infinite Potential by Melissa Joy Jonsson. In the past year and a half I have participated in 6 Matrix Energetics Workshops created and led by Richard Bartlett and co-facilitated by Melissa Joy Jonsson. Richard is wacky and absolutely brilliant. While Melissa is just plain brilliant! She is like his side kick and I find her to be just as funny but in a serious way. I resonated deeply with both of them. Richard shows me that you can be totally wacky and off the wall while still bringing a deep and incredible message to others. For me, Melissa embodies the essence of infinite knowledge, soulfully brought forth through her intellect.
This passage is from the introduction of her new book: “For various reasons, we are reticent to commit to becoming our own guru, our own mentor, or our own lover. Ironically we are the ones we have been waiting for. We must commit to ourselves first and foremost, and from there, everything can unfold from pure potentiality. Life Change does not need to be incessantly difficult.”
This is what ‘inspired” the title of this blog. I was completely hooked — inspired and in spirit after just reading the intro to her book. Commit to ourselves!
After the laundry room debacle last week (see Crack Pipe blog) I have been trying to re-balance myself from the chaos of that experience. Which by the way still continues with more plumbers on the scene today after another leak in the water heater. I know we all have moments and this is part of what I call our “human experience.” OK–so how will I stay in conscious connection to my deeper knowing-to my spirit-in these moments.
What helps me reacquaint myself with SELF. Caps because it’s the true me–the one that is in spirit and inspired all the time. The one that gets knocked out of first position by my mind! And the one that is apparently very tall according to this picture taken during my sunset walk.
I take walks, I slow down, I read, I write, I run, I eat wonderful food, I talk to friends….And mostly I do all these things with awareness, from a place of appreciation and gratitude.
No one other than ME can do it for me. I have to make a commitment to me, for me and it must be BY ME to stay IN ME. There is no other way. I like to say that it’s an inside job. Everything else is just a distraction from the deeper parts of myself.
And that is my exploration into SELF.
Happy Journeying!
