“The reality we live in is selected by our conceptual definitions. You and I may be in the same physical space, but each of us will see it as entirely different.” ~ Ram Das
Have you ever been so comfortable in your home that you just don’t want to leave it!
I am always amazed at how many days I can stay in my home without venturing outside. I mean getting in my car and going somewhere or even going for a run or a walk. I can walk around the house. Sit in my backyard. Relax in my kitchen while staring out the window and watching the birds and smelling all the summer fragrances and have no desire to leave this comfort.
I love this feeling! I am so content, so satisfied, so nurtured, so embraced by…? By what?
By ME!
I wasn’t always like this. I was always running.~Literally and figuratively ~ going somewhere~doing something. Now I am completely here! As the title of the Ram Das book published in 1971 says Be Here Now.
I was always trying to find where Here was or is? Where is here anyway? Is it driving in my car? Is it sitting in my kitchen? Is it traveling to other locations? Is it sitting and “hearing” the birds and the breezes? Is it all of it? Is it none of it?
Here is everywhere!
Here is Everything!
Here is the idea that is assigned to what is present. What is in the moment and how we meet each moment with our thoughts and our actions. Even if an action is to sit and ponder the beauty of your world in that moment. If this is done with conscious presence to that moment then you are HERE. Being here is all we get to do in this physical existence.
So why not unequivocally Be Here Now!
“The heart surrenders everything to the moment. The mind judges and holds back.”
~Ram Das
