I have to say I fall in LOVE a lot! I really think that I love to love. I can recall feeling this way as a child and hiding these feelings. So as an adult I choose to NOT hide my love affair with love. I have come to realize that love is a wonder-Full and wonder-inspiring feeling.
So today’s LOVE adventure starts like this:
I am on my way to the chiropractor and realize that I needed to mail something. I am running a bit late but I figured if I could get in and out of the PO I’d be on time for my appointment. There is only one person working and two people on line ahead of me. I look at my phone (which is my watch) and decide I can be here for about 5 minutes and then I must leave so I wouldn’t be late.
There is this older gentleman picking up a letter from the postal worker. The clerk says–“Sir I am going to need your drivers license to confirm your name and address”. The man proceeds to say with a laugh “what you don’t believe I’m 92 years old”? The clerk says to the man (who has a small hearing aid in each ear) “No sir-I just need to verify your name and address”. The older man then looks at him and says “You know my usual delivery guy (and he names him) would have just left this in my mailbox”. I know that this wasn’t delivered by him because my guy knows that if I’m not home I am down the block at my girlfriends house!” Well, right then and there I fell in love with this vibrant and funny and incredibly alive older man.
He then picks up his letter and turns around and looks at everyone on the line (which now was at least 10 people) and says “wow-aren’t I the lucky one– I was the first one here”. I just burst out laughing and actually wanted to applaud. But I contained my enthusiasm and just continued standing there with a huge smile on my face.
This experience formed my day. I proceeded to finish my business and went to the chiropractor where I told this story to anyone that I could share it with.
I was the lucky one in this situation. A man that I have never seen in my neighborhood touched my life today so deeply and helped me to smile a bigger smile just by his presence.

OH–and when I left the post office he was just getting into his shiny red truck. I was tempted to go over to him and tell him how he impacted me but I felt contained in my falling in love. But now as I write this I feel a small part of me wishes that I had told him how happy he made me today.
