I think of my life as a “moving meditation”.  Twenty-one years ago I birthed Full Circle Wellness Center. I did this to create a sacred space to practice walking my inner talk.

While FCWC was the container that I used, inside that space I developed various techniques: Inner Self Talk, The Art of Speaking Consciously, The Art of Emotional Connection, Dance Your Prayers, Learning To Take Your Body Back and Learning to Love Your Skin (a simple approach to obtaining healthy and glowing skin).

These processes have been born from a deeper desire inside of me:

  1. Always to see myself and connect deeply with my soul.
  2.  Help others find themselves through quieting their minds and connecting with their bodies, soul and deeper self.

I remember the first time I meditated. I set a timer for 3 minutes and closed my eyes. I can still feel the uncomfortable feelings that raced through my body. I opened my eyes, looked at the clock, tried breathing while thinking: “it’s OK-It’s almost time.” I smile as I write this now because I have come a long way from 3 minutes of “trying to quiet myself” to saying: My life is a “moving meditation”. Those three minutes were almost 30 years ago. And since then I have stopped, listened and consciously continue cultivating a quieter mind.

This practice started not long after my grandfather, Pasquale or Patsy, passed. At the time I was also at a crossroads in my professional life. I find that it’s those troublesome times that seem to always bring on huge changes. Don’t you agree? Like my current “Crack Pipe” incident!

So what do YOU choose in times of stress, worry, fear or playing and joyful situations?  Do you gravitate towards meditating and quieting your mind?  Or medicating?  How about trying to consciously choose to integrate the two parts of your mind/brain (logical and intuitive) through meditation?
